Coconut Oil Soap
The Little Shipping Co.’s Australian Lemon Myrtle Soap is hand made from cold-pressed organic coconut oil sailed by us on our boat from the island of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu. The Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodra) is endemic to South Eastern Queensland sub-tropical rainforests has a distinctive lemon scent and has been used traditionally as an antimicrobial medicine and for flavouring.
NO synthetic fragrances, dyes or preservatives.
Definitely Contains NO Palm Oil.
You can be assured that our soaps do NOT contain palm oil. Our soaps are made with pure cold-pressed organic coconut oil from smallholder plantations on the island of Espiritu Santo, in Vanuatu. Coconut oil soaps are cleansing with a rich bubbly lather. Because of the ability to create a bubbly foam, it makes a suitable shaving soap. 20% of the coconut oil remains unconverted into soap for a non-drying, moisturising bar.
Sailor Soap – Lathers in Saltwater.
Our soap will even bubble and lather in sea water so it is ideal for yachties like us, surfers, fishing, camping, and for use in hard water.
Each bar is hand cut so equals approximately 100g.
Soap on a Hemp Rope is approx. 110g
Use the rope to hang dry and to slip over your wrist for using in the sea.
Ingredients: Lemon Myrtle infused Cold-pressed Organic Coconut Oil(Vanuatu), Coral Sea Ocean Water, lye*, Australian beeswax, Australian Lemon Myrtle essential oil.
*A normal ingredient in traditional cold-process soap making. None remains after the saponification of the oils into soap.
Note: A resulting ingredient of our traditional soap making method is natural glycerin which not only holds water in the skin but therefore attracts moisture from the air. Be sure to keep soap in a dry well ventilated area if you live in a humid climate. Keep bar dry on a draining soap dish for longevity.
